Can I switch from one product to another?

Yes, you can adjust your product to your needs on an ongoing basis via the checksum portal. Of course, the current tariff will always be charged.

Can I change my payment processor?

If you wish, you can instruct us via the checksum portal to obtain various offers from payment processors (acquirers) on your behalf. You can then decide which payment processor you would like to submit a contract application with.

Can I also operate my payment device via WiFi?

Yes, you can configure the corresponding Wi-Fi network in the Android settings. You can find more information in the quick guide for your payment device.

How can I accept payments via QR code or barcode?

To be able to accept payments via QR or barcode with your smartphone, you need a mobile payment app that works via QR or barcode (e.g. TWINT). As a merchant, you need an acceptance contract with the relevant payment processor. During the payment process, the QR or barcode generated on the payment device must be scanned. As soon as the cash register reports that the payment process has been completed, the payment process is finished.

What happens if a payment is rejected?

If the payment process is cancelled, try again. In the second step, ask your customer which payment method he/she has stored in his/her mobile payment app. It is possible that you have not activated this payment method (e.g. American Express credit card). Ask your customer whether he/she can pay with another payment method and contact checksum support if you have any further questions.
